Linkspan Flat Top Barge with Spud Legs Folio FTB79/H
Built: Spain 1971
Class: Was Lloyds 100A1 until converted to Linkspan barge for Ro-Ro traqffic.  Will go through M.C.A. as trasonic reading are all around 9mm
Dimensions: Length 34m, beam 18.9m, moulded depth 2.74m.  18 W.T. compartments
Deck strength: 6 ton per sq.m. uniform deck strength
Spuds: 2 x spud legs 19m long x 600mm diameter and 30mm thick fitted in spud tanks outboard mounted.  No method of lifting as the barge normally carriers a crawler crane
Linkspan: 27m long x 3.5m wide.  Very heavily built by Harland & Wolf to carry trucks of 40 tons and weighs 70 tons.  The deck of the link is tarmac covered for grip
Price: The barge on its own pounds sterling £155,000.  The barge complete with the linkspan pounds sterling £175,000.  Inspection/delivery U.K. port

Construction: The pontoon is built from two catamaran type tubular steel side tanks with removable bridge deck
Dimensions: Length 12m (40ft), beam 6m (19.68ft)
Deck load: Max. about 20 tonnes in river or sheltered water
Spud legs: 2 x 8m, lifted by the crane
Crane: Grove 4 ton crane powered by 2 cylinder Lister diesel power pack
Remarks: The pontoon is fully demountable and will fit on a 40ft flat deck lorry
